Type 2 Gynecomastia - Rounded Chest

Definition

Breast tissue: Extends over pectoralis muscle border

Nipple position: At or above the pectoralis border

Chest fold shape: Tight skin, rounded chest fold

Most common demographic: 16 - 35 years old, frustrated young adults.

Type 2 occurs usually in adolescence during puberty. It is advisable to wait for at least a few years to see whether the excess breast volume goes away by itself. However, if the problem persists for more than 2 years, it is likely that gynecomastia is the only treatment option for permanent surgery. Type 2 people are usually told that their gynecomastia is eventually gone and it is not that bad. You can hear from family or other important people that it's okay and looks normal. The skin is typically tight during this age range and helps reduce the appearance of the problem. For these reasons, avoidance of the problem is common, but frustration develops over time because it has not improved or with age begins to look worse. Diet and exercise do not get rid of gynecomastia, making it less important to work out, stay in shape and wear stylish, fitted clothes.

The early treatment of type 2 prevents the inevitable skin relationship that occurs when type 2 is aged and then type 3 and 4. Early treatment consists of a smaller incision limited to areola only. The results are very good because the skin is tight at a younger age.
